Job Purpose
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Kelvin Power, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support the design, planning, and execution of substation systems and associated electrical infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, hands-on experience, and exposure to various stages of project delivery in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Including but not limited to:
• Assist in the design and specification of substation systems, including primary and secondary electrical layouts.
• Support the preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of projects in compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Participate in site visits and surveys to collect data and support installation and commissioning planning activities.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, technical proposals, and bid submissions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support Project Managers in tracking budgets, monitoring costs, and assessing project progress.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of project reports and documentation for client submission.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance technical and professional skills.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong interest in power systems, substation design, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, power system design tools, or similar software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and project-related activities.
